Prakan is a province neighbouring Bangkok. It is a recommended
destination for travellers planing short stays in Thailand.
Breath the fresh air at Bang Pu and tour the world's largest
crocodile farm as well as Muang Boran (miniature ancient
city). All these and other sites can be visited in a day.

Muang
Boran, (The Ancient City)
at the 33.5th km mark on Sukhumvit Road, is the world's
largest outdoor museum, occupying miniaturised historical
symbols of each province in Thailand. Only few pieces
are of real large size. Traditional rural arts and culture
are also on display.
Phra Samut Chedi, is a pagoda
which previously stood right on an island in the Chao
Phraya River but now appears on the opposite side of City
Hall since the bank gradually became shallow pagoda are
a Buddha relic as well as two Buddha images - Phra Chaiwat
and Phra Ham Samut.
Wat Bang Phli Yai, located
near Kholng Samrong , Tambon Bang Phli Yai, houses the
Luang Pho To , a highly- respected Buddha image in Manwichai
position. This image has been a sighficant part of the
province's tradition-Yon Bua Rap Bua (Lotus throwing and
receiving).

Bang
Pu near Muang Boran,
is a famous destination for its refreshing beach as well
as a recovery centre. In front of the beach is a restaurant
and various accommodations. During winter, numerous seagulls
migrate here, increasing the beauty of the place.
Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and
Zoo, is 3 km off downtown on Sukhumvit Road. Honoured
as the world's largest crocodile farm, it nurtures around
40,000 crocodiles. It is also a centre of crocodile-skin
bag-making for distribution around the world. Daring crocodile
shows are on everyday.
Nong Ngu Hao Snake Farm lies
on the 14th km marker of Highway 34, and is a snake cultivation
centre where one can witness snake catching and poison
extracting. It also sells cheap products made of snake
skin.
