Mahathat
is a highly-sacred temple, with a -bush-shaped-Sukhothai-style
pagoda, on Nikon Bamrung Road, in Muang district.
Wat Traiphum on Phetcharat
Road, has the highly-sacred Buddha image, Phra Buddhamahathammaracha,
decorated in Lop Buri style.
Si Thep Historical Park in
Si Thep district, includes the remains of the city built
during the high time of the Khmer Empire. The ancient
city, estimated to be older than a 1,000 years, contains
historical remains such as Si Thep God's shrine, Khao
Khlang Nai historical site, Si Thep Stupa, Song Phi Nong
Stupa and twin ponds. This park is 130 km off Muang district.
To reach the park , take Highway 21 and then at the 102-nd
km marker take Highway 2211 for 9 km.

Huai
Pa Daeng irrgation reservoir is
also called Phetchabun Lake. It also serves as a recreation
area. It is 8 km off Muang Phetchabun
on Highway 2006.
BN Farm is the venue where
a variety of cold-weather vegetable and fruit are planted.
To this farm, take Highway 12 from Ban Camp Son and
at the 100-km mark join Highway 2196 for 3 km, when
the sign to the farm is posted. The farm is 3 km further.
Khao Kho are forestry mountains
with low temperatures all year round. Attractions here
include Chin Ho Monument, Khao Kho Pagoda containing
the Buddha's remains, Khao Kho Palace, Si Dit Waterfall,
Khao Khor Open Zoo and a miracle hill. To reach these
mountains, take Highway 21 to Na Ngua intersection,and
after 13 km, turn left to Highway 2258 and continue
for 30 km. The other way is via Highwy 12 where at the
100-km mark, turn left to Highway 2196 for 33 km more.
Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park
is a place with an uniquely mesmerising environment.
The temperature is nearly the same as in Phu Kradueng
and Phu Luang. It also serves as a historical place
where a battle museum, a politicl millitary school,
a windmill, the Royal Thai Mrmy's cemetery, and an anti-cmmunist
village are located. Among the natural attractions here
are the Si Phatcharin Waterfall, the broken rock ground,
Pha Chuthong, the Pha Lat Waterfall and the Tat Fa Waterfall.
To this national park's office, take Highway 12 at Ban
Yang intersection, turn right to Ban Huai Tin Tang,
Ban Huai Nam Sai and Phatcharin Base.
Nam Nao National Park is
a dream destination for travellers, where high mountains
festoon the scenario. It is also a watershed of many
rivers. Beautifying the national park are the Kong Wang
prairie, the Sai Kaeo Waterfall, the Sai Ngoen Waterfall,
the Heo Sai Waterfall, the Sai Thong Waterfall, Phu
Phachit (Phachit cliff), the Tat Phran Ba Waterfall,
and the Tham Yai Nam Nao ( a large cool water cave).
To this national park, take Highway 12 , turn left at
the 50-km marker on highway 12, and go 1.5 km further.
