its beauty and richness from the the Chao Phraya River.

Kret,
a large island situated in the middle of the Chao Phraya
River, is a home to the Mon-descendants of those who lived
here since the Ayutthaya era. An
old temple os this island is extraodinarity attractive
and so are its pottery villages. Visitors can view pot-making
and buy the finished products. This island is accessible
through a speedboat service. To travel by car, take Highways
31 and 35 and then use the ferry at Pak Kret Pier.
Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Worawihon,
boasts rare but beautiful wall paintings in the church
and sculptures which decorate the church's door and window
sills.
Wat Prasat, on Bang Kruai-Sai
Noi Road, is honoured for finding the right way to revive
its old church as well as its longtime beauty. It also
attracts Thai and foreign academics.

King's
Mother Park,
is a botanical park which doubles up as a public park
in Muang district. Embracing a large pond inside, this
park is home to various plants and offers tranquillity.
